Formerly a giant named “Nonthok” who washes feet for angels, the reincarnated Tossakan is the king of the city of Langka and is the protagonist of the Ramakian story.
Thailand’s national epic, The Ramakian is a long and complex story concerning the reincarnation on earth of the deity, Phra Narai(Vishnu), who was requested to take a human form by the almighty Phra Isuan(Shiva) in order to vanquish the evil power perpetrated by Tossakan(Ravana) and demons possessed of magical powers.
The 2 oz fine-silver coin is struck in a new minting technique called “Bi-Metal Max”, that combines 11.5 oz of copper as a base for the top layer of fine-silver, resulting in super ultra-high relief while being complemented with antiqued silver finishing. The technique allows the coin to have an incredible weight and feel in the hand together with its 80 mm diameter size.
The collectible the Demon King in his full armor and costume with various weapons backed by gothic motifs and Thai patterns in the background. More intricate patterns can be found on the obverse surrounding the legal tender, the Coat of Arms du Tchad.
The first of its kind, a 1.9kg, 120x190mm copper frame containing the coin acts as the Certificate of Authenticity for the collectible coin. An opulent backdrop in antiqued copper finishing featuring Thai motifs and patterns for the Demon King. The perfect display piece that blurs the line between art and collectible coins.
